Wish you were here – with all of us
Franschhoek Village Market’s #COVID19 response
We are truly touched by all of you who have sent messages, asking when the Franschhoek Village Market will open again. As much as we WISH it could be this weekend – there are a number of factors we have to take into account.
As the management team, we have daily meetings to determine what will work best for everyone involved, including the safety of our visitors and our traders. We're monitoring the ever-changing situation extremely closely, and we promise we'll get back to you very soon, as soon as we know more.
For now – safety and wellbeing come first.
Wish you were here!
Saturdays simply aren’t the same without you. We miss welcoming you to the market, enjoying beautiful crafts from our traders, trying new recipes from the food traders, and dancing under the oak trees to the sounds of soulful live music.
So we spent some time scrolling through our Facebook page to share this trip down memory lane with you.
How to support the Franschhoek Village Market
We're a village market that support local artists, chefs, bakers and entrepreneurs, by giving them a platform to engage and sell their products to visitors from afar. It’s a community space, where locals meet, and South African heritage is celebrated.
But like so many businesses during this #COVID19 pandemic, we’ve been closed, and are also feeling the effects.
That’s why we’re asking you to get involved in the market – virtually, in these easy ways.
